Paper Lion Authors: Saviour Pirotta

About Saviour Pirotta

Saviour is a prolific children's author with bestsellers in many countries. He was born on the island of Malta, and grew up speaking both English and Maltese. He decided to become an author at a very young age. After studying drama and scriptwriting in his native country, he emigrated to England where he settled first in London and then in Yorkshire.

For many years he worked as a storyteller, telling stories to children, teachers, librarians and even their royal highnesses the Queen and Prince Philip. His books have been translated into twenty-three languages. As well as his success in the UK, his books have been bestsellers in America, Greece, Italy, and Brazil. Despite a heavy writing schedule, Saviour still enjoys visiting schools, libraries and literary festivals, and in 2018, he visited schools in the Middle East, where he discovered hundreds of young fans.
